untitled1 Dailey Ankney Blank Dailey Ankney Blank, age 84, of Rock Cave, WV died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV. She was born February 26, 1926 in Prestonsburg, KY, a daughter of the late James and Rhoda Shephard. On May 3, 1946 she married Paul Ankney, Sr. who preceded her in death on November 20, 1976. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Ankney, Jr. and Daniel Ankney; three brothers, Floyd, Thomas and Diamond Shephard and one son in law, Chris Rutter. She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Rutter of Rock Cave; one son, Clayton Ankney, Sr. and wife Judy of Elkins, WV; two sisters, Darcus Wynn and Mazel Miley both of Mansfield, OH; three brothers, William Shephard and wife Juanita, Riley Shephard and Dial Shephard and wife Betty all of Mansfield and nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Blank was a homemaker and a Pentecostal by faith. Friends will be received Monday, July 19, 2010 from 1-2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Holly J. Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Ridge Church Cemetery in Rock Cave.
