Obituary of Betty J. McNemar

Betty McNemar Betty J. McNemar Betty J McNemar, 92, of Buckhannon, died Saturday, March 22, 2014. She was born September 6, 1921 in Waynesburg, PA, a daughter of the late Orville and Ethel Gilbert Cunningham. On March 26, 1942 she married Denzil C McNemar who preceded her in death February 1, 1990. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, June Phillips. Betty is survived by her two sons, Ronald McNemar and wife Debby and Randall McNemar and wife Sharon all of Buckhannon, one granddaughter, Kathryn Alicea and Tony of Charlotte, NC three grandsons, Bronson McNemar and Heather of Buckhannon, Kirk McNemar and Dana of Damascus, MD and Bryn McNemar and Sarah of Mauldin, SC, four great-grandsons, Gunner McNemar of Buckhannon, Callen McNemar of Mauldin, SC, Hudson McNemar of Damascus, MD and Isaac Alicea of Charlotte, NC, one great-granddaughter, Bella McNemar of Damascus, MD, sister, Harriet Taylor, of Waynesburg PA; a sister-in-law, Jean Haymond of Buckhannon and several special nieces and nephews. Betty was a homemaker and was able to stay in her home until her death. She spent most of her time talking about her great-grandchildren and family. Friends will be received Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Upshur County Memorial Park in Tennerton, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
