Mick Edna S. Mick, age 91, of Buckhannon, WV, died Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born November 16, 1922 in Richwood, WV a daughter of the late William Garfield and Cora Spencer Stowers. On September 3, 1945 she married Guy W. Mick, Sr. who preceded her in death August of 1980. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, James and William Stowers. She is survived by three sons, Guy W. Mick, Jr. and wife Sheryl of Hurricane, WV, William Mick and wife Mary of Buckhannon and Robert Mick and wife Lisbeth of Morgantown, WV; three daughters, Linda Daugherty and husband Steve of Friendswood, TX, Jean Crandall and husband Jerry of Bridgeport, WV and Cora Andrews and husband Randall of Hoschton, GA; twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two sister, Nellie Gainer of Shinnston, WV and Christina Harrill of Newland, NC. Mrs. Mick was a homemaker, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Buckhannon. She loved gardening, raising flowers and caring for her family. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Billee Scott Mick officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
