untitled3 Victor Ray Newman Victor Ray Newman, age 73, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, October 18, 2012 at his home under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice. He was born August 19, 1939 in Baltimore County, MD, a son of the late Fred Alfred and Ethel Elmira Wright Newman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Oliver Dean and one brother, David Newman. He is survived by three daughters, Kristina Leggett and husband Timothy, Tricia Newman and Mary Anne Newman, all of Buckhannon; two sons, Alex Newman and wife Heather of Wilbur, WA and Nicholas Newman and wife Amanda of Morgantown, WV; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers, Clifford Newman and Fred Newman and wife Janet, all of Buckhannon; two sisters, Edith Newman of Buckhannon and Alice McIntyre and husband Frank of Bloomfield, MI and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Newman was the owner of American Furniture. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Buckhannon, the Buckhannon Civil Air Patrol and LOOM. He was also a Kentucky Colonel. He loved to fly and fish. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice, 1 Amalia Dr., Buckhannon, WV 26201.
