untitled2 Visitation Saturday, June 25, 2011 from 6-8 PM Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Funeral Service Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 1 PM Funeral Home Burial Buckhannon Veterans Cemetery Arletta Mae Mick Arletta Mae Mick, age 74, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Colonial Place in Elkins, WV under the care of Mountain Hospice. She was born November 7, 1936 in Gaines, WV, a daughter of the late Arnett and Frona Friend Haymond. On December 21, 1953 she married Leonard “Bud” Mick who survives. Also, surviving are two daughters, Teresa Ann Roby and husband Larry of Henderson, KY and Amber Mick of Lusby, MD; one son, Leonard Butch Mick and wife Deborah of Eden, WV; two grandsons, Tug Roby of Bowling Green, KY and Leonard Lynn Mick of Richmond, VA; one granddaughter, Tiffany Springer and husband Brandon of Henderson, KY; two sisters, Helen Allman and husband David and Sue Higginbotham all of Buckhannon and one brother, Ralph Gerald Haymond of Fairmont, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ross and Billy Joe Haymond. Mrs. Mick was a manager of the Bookstore at West Virginia Wesleyan College. She was a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, the Buckhannon Country Club, Red Hat society and the Book Club. She enjoyed golf, Buddy the cat and her family and friends. Friends will be received Saturday, June 25, 2011 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Joseph M. Shreve officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Veterans Cemetery in Buckhannon. Donations may be made in Mrs. Mick’s Memory to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
