untitled1 Eula Mae Mace Brown Eula Mae Mace Brown, age 93, of the Weston Road, Buckhannon, WV passed away Sunday Morning, February 28, 2010 at her home after an extended illness. She was born April 10, 1916, a daughter of the late Roy H. and Flossie Hill Mace. Eula was married on Sunday, July 27, 1941 to Clifton Brown, Jr., who preceded her in death on November 13, 1986. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew Harold and Harry Bradford Mace and two sisters Virginia Lee Taylor and Marjorie Sayre. She is survived by two sisters, Madeline Summerfield of Dothan, AL and Lakie McPherson of Raleigh, NC; two brothers in law, Edwin Brown of Stephenson, VA and Kenneth Sayre of Weston, WV; two sisters in law, Billie Jo Clark of Weston, WV and Geneva Brown of Buckhannon. Eula was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and is survived by one daughter, Deloras Reddecliff of Buckhannon; one son, Stephen and wife Kelli of Cross Lanes, WV; four grandchildren, Kelli Marteney and husband Paul of Vienna, WV, Gwendolyn Adams of Morgantown, WV, Timothy Brown and wife Emily of Weirton, WV and Jennifer Brown of Dunbar, WV; four great-grandchildren, Alexander Adams of Morgantown, Isobella Marteney of Vienna, Elliott and Andrew Brown of Weirton. She is also survived by three additional great grandchildren of Steve and Kelli’s marriage, Layla Cathleen daughter of Dayna Pitzer of Cross Lanes and Kenzi and Cody children of Eddie and Larissa Jarrett of Scott Depot. Eula was a Christian by faith and a member of the Good Hope Tabernacle of Buckhannon, WV where she attended faithfully and loved and appreciated the great fellowship of her brothers and sisters in Christ. She was also a 50 year plus member of the Buckhannon Chapter # 18 Order Of The Eastern Star, achieving the office of Worthy Matron. She was a past Mother Advisor of the Buckhannon Chapter Rainbow for Girls. The family appreciates the community and church family for the many ways they have helped her over the years and especially thank her caregiver, Shannon Wagoner for the wonderful help she provided during the last year of her life. Friends will be received Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from 4–8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. The Buckhannon Chapter #18 Order Of The Eastern Star will conduct memorial rites at 8 PM on Tuesday. Mrs. Brown will lie in state at the Good Hope Tabernacle from 12-1 PM with funeral to follow immediately with Pastor Holly J. Hoover officiating. Burial will follow at the Weston Masonic Cemetery. The family is accepting flowers however a donation may be made to the Good Hope Tabernacle at PO Box 1156 Buckhannon, WV 26201. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
