Obituary of Evelyn B. Miller

untitled1 Evelyn B. “Squirt” Miller Evelyn B. “Squirt” Miller, age 79, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at her home. She was born December 12, 1929 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Forman W. and Nora Belle Kittle Reed. On July 22, 1950 she married Marvin Douglas Miller who preceded her in death June 24, 1977. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray, Charles and Russell Reed; one sister, Anna Marie Reed and one niece and three nephews. She is survived by three sons, Steven Miller and wife Karen of Abbott, WV, David Miller and wife Patty of Metz, WV and Michael Miller and wife Beth of Abbott; four brothers, Corbin Reed of St. Clair Shores, MI, Freeman Reed of Buckhannon, Willard Reed of Hammond, LA and Gerald Reed of Warner Robins, GA; four sisters, Phyllis Wilfong, Naomi Criss and Marion Boothe all of Buckhannon and Rose Mary Hughes of Mineral Wells, WV; four grandsons, David Mark Miller, II of Nashville, TN, Steven Douglas Miller of Beckley, WV, Charles Robert Miller of Las Vegas, NV and Eric Michael Miller of Abbott; one granddaughter, Michelle Smith of Westover, WV; six great-grandsons, Jarod Miller of Nashville, Riley, Dustin and Micah Miller all of Las Vegas and Sonny and Joseph Smith both of Westover, WV; one great-granddaughter, Kaelyn Miller of Nashville and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker. She was a member of the North Buckhannon United Methodist Church where she was very active. She was a loving mother and grandmother and volunteered at the Parish House. She enjoyed life and being with family and friends. Friends will be received Friday, July 10, 2009 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Point Pleasant Church Cemetery at Abbott.
