Obituary of Nicholas W. Rongyos

Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion, DAV Chpapters # 5 & # 36 will conduct Military Honors at the graveside. Nicholas W. Rongyos Nicholas W. Rongyos, age 94, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, November 23, 2006 at his home. He was born April 12, 1912 in New Haven, CT, a son of the late Nicholas and Anna Henroy Rongyos. On November 15, 1946 he married Maxine Ellison who preceded him in death on March 5, 2003. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Thelma Harvey; two brothers, George and William Rongyos and one sister, Elizabeth Guy. Mr. Rongyos is survived by one son, William Beckner and wife Martha of Buckhannon; one daughter, Emma Lee Cadman of Buckhannon; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one niece, Judith Edwards of Bennington, VT and one nephew, Samuel Guy and wife Gail of Hamden, CT. He was a factory worker, a member of the Heaston United Methodist Church of Hodgesville and a US Army Veteran of World War II. Friends will be received from 7-9 PM Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mona Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Buckhannon VFW Post #3663, Frank B.
