Jimmie Lantz Jimmie F. Lantz Jimmie F. Lantz, age 74, of Hagerstown, MD and formerly of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, March 13, 2015 at his home in Hagerstown. He was born August 17, 1940 in Mabie, WV, a son of the late Howard Riley and Mary Olive Knotts Lantz. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers. Surviving are one daughter, Debbie Saylor of Hagerstown; one son James Ray Lantz of Springfield, VA; three grandsons, Timothy Saylor of Manassas, VA, Andrew Saylor of Hagerstown and James N. Lantz of Springfield; four granddaughters, Jessica Saylor and Audrey R., Alison R. and Olivia R. Lantz all of Springfield; one great grandson, Anthony Lee Saylor of Manassas; one great granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Saylor of Manassas and two sisters. Mr. Lantz was a mechanic and served in the U.S. Army. Friends will be received Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Hinkleville, WV. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the gravesite. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
