Dorothy Lantz Dorothy L. Lantz Dorothy L. Lantz, age 88, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, February 21, 2015 at her daughter’s home in Martinsburg, WV. She was born June 20, 1926 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Dennis and Janet Brake Pletcher. On May 24, 1946 she married Dennis Lantz who preceded her in death on June 7, 1999. Surviving are two daughters, Carol Lantz of Martinsburg and Linda McLaughlin and husband Lee of Charles Town, WV; two granddaughters, Emily Seal and husband Shane and Megan Haberman and husband Andrew all of Charles Town; one grandson, Ryan McLaughlin and wife Laura of Martinsburg; five great granddaughters, Alyssa Haberman of Charles Town and Eva, Mia, Addison and Carson McLaughlin all of Martinsburg; one sister Sue Nolte and husband Don of Kent, OH and one brother-in-law, Paul Lance of Syracuse, NY. Mrs. Lantz was a Clerk at Home Hardware and a Methodist by faith. Dorothy loved to go bowling. Friends will be received Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Beeson officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
