Lorna Linger Lorna Westfall Linger Lorna Westfall Linger, age 85, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born February 5, 1928 in Hampton, WV, a daughter of the late H.S. Westfall and Clarice M. Ireland Westfall Radcliff. On September 24, 1950 she married William J. “Butch” Linger who preceded her in death on December 29, 2003. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Bessie Westfall and her nephew, Gary Westfall. She is survived by one son, William J. Linger, II and wife Lynn Walton Linger of Buckhannon; two grandsons, William J. Linger, III and wife Skye of Buckhannon and Nathan Gower and wife Melina of Rio Rico, AZ; one granddaughter, Heather Gibson and husband Bo of Fairmont, WV; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Garrett Westfall of McLean, VA; two cousins, Margaret A. Walls and Robert Ireland both of Buckhannon;. Mrs. Linger was chief operator for C&P Telephone Company and a Methodist by faith and she was a 1945 graduate from BUHS. A memorial service will be held 10 AM Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Poling-St. Clair with Rev. Steve Meadow officiating. Burial will be in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Educational Fund at First United Methodist Church, 52 S.
