Obituary of Robert P. Landis

untitled3 Robert Paul “Bob” Landis Robert Paul “Bob” Landis, age 76, of Philippi, WV died Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, WV. He was born May 13, 1936 in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Frank and Pearl Landis. On March 10, 1986 he married Donna Fay Coberly whom preceded him in death on April 6, 2013. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy and two brothers, John and Forrest Landis. He is survived by one son, Robert Landis Jr. of Elkins; one daughter, Angel Howell of Volga, WV; one grandson, Hunter Howell of Volga; two granddaughters, Seneca and Charnai Howell both of Volga and two brothers, Dale Landis on Sand Run, WV and Jim Landis of Upshur County. Mr. Landis was a coal miner. Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 1-2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV.
