Funeral Service Monday, January 21, 2013 at 2 PM Funeral Home Burial Peterson Cemetery Annabell Florence Lipps Annabell Florence Lipps, age 83, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at her home while under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice. She was born August 1, 1929 in Gilmer County, WV, a daughter of the late Virgil Jay and Ora Wilmoth Spore. On March 25, 1953 she married Riley Blaine “Mutt” Lipps, Sr. who preceded her in death on March 22, 2003. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Joe Riffle and Daniel Joseph Lipps; two daughters, Barbara Cottrill and Annamae Lipps; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert and Raymond Spore and two sisters, Rita Lowther and Mabel Lough. She is survived by six sons, Virgil Daniel Lipps, Riley Lipps, Jr.,Bernie Lipps and wife Mary and Woody Riffle and wife Barbara all of Buckhannon, Ernest Lipps of Gassaway, WV and Riley Roscoe Eugene “Crow” Lipps and wife Deborah of Century, WV; two daughters, Mary Perrine and husband Jack of Century and Faye Zirkle and husband Sam of Beverly, WV; twenty-nine grandchildren; fifty-eight great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Virgil Jay “Bud” Spore of Hackers Creek, WV; one sister, Virgie Landers of Buckhannon and special friends, Leona Smith and James Wilmoth both of Buckhannon. Mrs. Lipps worked at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Housekeeping. She was Pentecostal by faith and was a student of the literacy volunteer. Friends will be received Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Peterson Cemetery in Weston, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
