Obituary of Veta M. Lewis

untitled3 Veta M. Lewis Veta M. Lewis, age 89, of Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, December 24, 2012 at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born May 23, 1923 in Braxton County, WV, a daughter of the late Aubrey and Ina Ware Myers. On May 24, 1947, she married Perry C. “Pug” Lewis who preceded her in death on January 2, 2002. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert and Lester Myers. She is survived by one daughter, Vicki Vincent and husband David of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Brandon Vincent and wife Aimee of Ashburn, VA and Mitchell Vincent and wife Rebecca of Hurricane, WV; two great grandsons, Nash Vincent of Hurricane and Jackson Vincent of Ashburn; two great granddaughters, Olivia Vincent of Ashburn and Lilliana Vincent of Hurricane; one sister, Lucile Quertinmont and husband Page of Bridgeport, WV; brother-in-law, Lejeune Lewis of Buckhannon; two nieces, Barb Smith and husband Greg and Beth Moore and husband Jim and one nephew David Lewis and wife Pam all of WV. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis owned and operated Lewis Jewelers of Buckhannon for 59 years. She was also a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church of Buckhannon. Friends will be received Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday, December 28, 2012 at the funeral home with the Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
