Funeral Service Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 10 AM Funeral Home Burial WV National Cemetery at Pruntytown, WV Betty L. Lanham Betty L. Lanham, age 71, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born May 11, 1940 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late King Harris and Iva Phillips Hersman. On August 5, 1978 she married Leonard Lanham who preceded her in death on March 25, 2004. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Steven Wayne Dean; one daughter, Sharon (Shreve) Campbell; six brothers and sisters and a step son, Doug Lanham. She is survived by two daughters, Patti Edwards of Buckhannon and Peggy Sue McCowan of VA; one son, Kyle Dean and wife Helen of VA; fifteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren and three step daughters, Kathy Mollahan of FL, Penny Andrews of OH and Nicole Strother of OH. Mrs. Lanham was a Nurse’s Aide. She visited the Senior Center and was a lifetime member of the Eagles, Moose and Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the caring staff at Holbrook’s Nursing Home. Friends will be received Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the WV National Cemetery at Pruntytown, WV.
