untitled1 Betty E. Lantz Betty E. Lantz, age 79, of Buckhannon, WV, died Saturday, August 22, 2009 at her home. She was born March 28, 1930 in Ohio, a daughter of the late Alco and Thelma Snider Pierce. On February 28, 1956 she married Perry Earl “Bud” Lantz who preceded her in death on December 12, 1992. Also preceding her in death were, one daughter, Debbie Summers, one son, Roger Lantz, two brothers, Alco D. Pierce, Jr., and Harold Pierce and one sister, Mary Pierce. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Chewning and husband Danny of Buckhannon and Carla Reger and husband Bryan of Volga, WV; two sons, Randy Pierce of Rantoull, IL and Rodney Lantz of Buckhannon; also eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held in the South Fork Baptist Cemetery in Ritchie County, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
