Obituary of Wilda Louise Landis

LandisWilda Wilda Louise Landis Wilda Louise Landis, age 77, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born November 30, 1929 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Riley and Alice Lettie Cutright Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, James William Cobb and Ward F. Landis; two sons, James and Ralph Edward Cobb; one brother, Haymon Smith and one sister, Rita Burr. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Alice Hadsock and husband Arthur of Ellamore, WV; two sons, Erwin “Butch” Cobb of Arizona and Ronald Stephen Cobb; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Friends will be received from 6-8 PM, Friday, September 21, 2007 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Wilda’s name.
