James H. Koon James H. “Slim Jim” Koon James H. “Slim Jim” Koon, age 63, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at his home while under the care of People’s Hospice. He was born May 21, 1951in Buckhannon, a son of the late Shirley Koon and Bessie Lowther Koon of Buckhannon. On April 28, 1972 he married Becky Posey who survives. In addition to his mother and wife he is survived by two daughters, Libby Venditti and husband Chris of Fort Mill, SC and Crystal Linger and husband Ed of Buckhannon; one grandson, Christopher Venditti of Fort Mill; two granddaughters, Harley and Presley Linger both of Buckhannon; four brothers, Claude Koon and wife Marsha, Richard Koon and wife Pam and Jesse and Jerry Koon all of Buckhannon and one sister, Cookie Wilsey and husband Neal of White Plains, MD. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kermit and Ray Koon and two sisters, Dotty Clingerman and Betty Dulaney. James was a truck driver for J.F. Allen Co. and loved to hunt. Friends will be received Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon.
