Obituary of Alice Ross Knox

untitled3 Alice “Ace” Ross Knox Alice “Ace” Ross Knox, age 85, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at her home. She was born April 2, 1927 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Cecil Byron “Cebe” and Mary Morgan Ross. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dr. William Derrick Knox on April 4, 1990 and one brother Sam Ross. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Rosa and husband Tom of Cincinnati, OH and Susan Knox of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; one granddaughter, Audrey Kroeger and husband Jon of Columbus, OH and one grandson, Michael Rosa and wife Ashley of Knoxville, TN. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Buckhannon, the Bobcat Pride Club, the Buckhannon Country Club, the P.E.O. Sisterhood, the Emmeritus Club and Alpha XI Delta. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 4-8 PM. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steven Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Ross Scholarship Fundation at West Virginia Wesleyan College or to the American Heart Association.
