untitled3 Richard Arthur Kiel KIEL, Richard Arthur, CLU. September 5, 2012. Rick was born June 6, 1939 in Montgomery, West Virginia to parents, Eva Mae Swisher and Arthur Gustov Kiel. He attended Milford High School in Milford, Delaware, the U.S. Military Academy Preparatory in Fort Belvoir, Virginia in 1959, received his Bachelors degree from Wilmington College in Wilmington, Delaware in 1972 and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Delaware in 1974. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his aunt, Genevieve Swisher of Buckhannon, WV. Rick is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruth Anne (Penny) Fissel Kiel of Nashville, TN; daughter, Margo Kiel-Levy and grandsons Steven, Nicholas and Alexander Levy, all of Brentwood, TN; daughter, Kathleen Michelle Kiel (Steve) Ray and grandsons Ethan and Aidan Ray, all of Sandy Springs, GA; brother, Ronald Kiel of St. Louis, MO and sister, Vicky Eastman of Anchorage, AK. Although he was retired at the time of his passing, Rick’s professional career was spent in the insurance industry in Wilmington, DE, Cincinnati, OH, Charlotte, NC and Nashville, TN. He also held a real estate brokers designation under the name of Kiel Realty. Graveside services will be held at Friendship Cemetery in Berlin, West Virginia on September 10th at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.polingstclair.com Poling St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
