Bula B. Kiser
Bula B. Kiser, age 93, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born September 23, 1917 in Webster Springs, WV, a daughter of the late Calvin H. and Margaret Hamrick Brady. On October 8, 1941 she married Raymond W. Kiser who preceded her in death May 9, 2007. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers, Archie, Sylvester, Arvil, and Tamblyn Brady and two sisters, Virginia Clifton and Thelma Hall. Mrs. Kiser is survived by three daughters, Saundra Sheahan of Spartanburg, SC, Suzanne Haas of Buckhannon and Cheryl Brown and husband Ted of Pulaski, TN; two sons, William “Bill” Kiser and wife Ruth of Keyser, WV and Robert “Bob” Kiser of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Susan Covault of Indianapolis, IN, Johanna Haas and husband Shae Davidson of Bloomington, IL and Summer Kiser of Buckhannon; seven grandsons, William “Matt” Haas of Portland, OR, Jeremiah and Matthew Kiser both of Keyser, Michael Kiser and wife April of Keyser, Robert Kiser of Buckhannon, Ted Brown and wife Stephanie of Hoover, AL and Tyler Brown of Birmingham, AL; three great grandsons, Trevor Kiser of Buckhannon, Gabriel Kiser of Keyser, and William Brown of Hoover; two great granddaughters, Alaina Kiser of Keyser and Sadie Brown of Hoover and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kiser retired as a teacher for Upshur Co. and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Buckhannon. She was active in the Methodist Women. Friends will be received Friday, July 22, 2011 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Buckhannon with the Rev. Steven Meadows and the Rev. Billee Scott Mick officiating. Burial will follow at the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Scholarship Fund of the First United Methodist Church. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
