Obituary of Katherine M. Kesling

untitled1 Katherine M. Kesling Katherine M. Kesling, age 84, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at her home. She was born August 29, 1925 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Lee and Gladys Mackey Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul H. Kesling who died on May 10, 1976. In addition to her parents and husband, she preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Sigler; two sons, Ronald Lee Kesling and Thomas Kesling and one brother, Carl Smith. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Weaver of Buckhannon, Carolyn “Sue” Barron and husband John of York, PA and Lois Hain and husband Adam of New Freedom, PA; one son, Michael Kesling of Buckhannon; two sisters, Evelyn Rhodes of Harrisville, WV and Edith Lewis of Ohio; one brother, Jim Smith of Buckhannon and thirteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Kesling was a member of the North Buckhannon United Methodist Church, a member of the Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663 Ladies Auxiliary and the Buckhannon Moose Lodge # 598. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 1-2 PM the funeral hour with the Rev. Calvin McCutcheon officiating.
