Russell G. Johnson Russell G. Johnson Russell G. Johnson, age 85, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, October 4, 2014. He was born June 29, 1929 in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late Charles Thomas and Josie Mae Bailey Johnson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Glenn Johnson; one brother, Howard Johnson; one sister, Virginia Tharp and one daughter in law, Janette Johnson. He is survived by four sons, David Johnson and wife Debora of French Creek, WV, Randall Johnson and wife Glenda of Buckhannon, Joseph Edward Johnson and wife Mary of Rock Cave, WV and Mark Allen Johnson and wife Patricia Ann of Hinkleville, WV; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Johnson and wife Beatrice of MO and Robert Johnson of Buckhannon and one sister, Margaret McGee of MI. Mr. Johnson worked for the Department of Highways. He served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. Friends will be received Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 1-2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
