Eleanor Harris Eleanor R. “Shorty” Harris Eleanor R. “Shorty” Harris, age 75, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, April 12, 2014 at her home while under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice. She was born August 7, 1938 in Queens, WV, a daughter of the late Troy Lee and Millie Hammonds Zickefoose. On December 2, 1957 she married Jim Harris who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jim L. Harris and wife Dean of Elkins, WV and Tim L. Harris and wife Lori of Buckhannon; one daughter, Marilyn Ann Foster of Phoenix, AZ; one grandson, Timothy Ryan Harris of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Jenny and Natasha Foster both of Phoenix; one sister, Lena Louise “Betsy” James of Buckhannon, one nephew, Terry Liggett of Buckhannon and one niece, Pam Lemons of Buckhannon. Shorty was an insurance agent for many years and served as the Upshur County Clerk for two years. She attended the Mt. Rupert UMC and was a member of the CEO’s. Friends will be received Monday, April 14, 2014 from 6 to 9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
