Obituary of Carolyn Marie Hunt

untitled1 Carolyn Marie Hunt Carolyn Marie Hunt, age 70, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, December 27, 2010 at her home under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice in Buckhannon. She was born March 6, 1940 in Clendenin, WV, a daughter of the late Garl Ray and Eloise Lee Mahan. On March 28, 1959 she married Dale Junior Hunt of Buckhannon. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Robert Dale Hunt and wife Daisy of Rock Cave, WV; one granddaughter, April Tenney and husband Amos of French Creek, WV; one step granddaughter, Daisy Cox and husband TJ of Weston, WV; one step grandson, Scott Wease and wife Melissa of Union Bridge, MD; one great grandson, Andrew Jacob Tenney of French Creek; five step great-grandchildren and a foster sister, Carol Linger and husband Ronnie of Philippi, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Bennett. Mrs. Hunt was a cashier for the Dollar General Store. She was a member of the Heaston Ridge United Methodist Church and a Sunday School Teacher. She was a volunteer at the clothes closet at Upshur Parish House. Friends will be received at the Heaston Ridge United Methodist Church on Friday, December 31, 2010 from 12 Noon until 2 PM the funeral hour. Burial will follow in the Heaston Ridge Church Cemetery at Heaston Ridge, WV. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Heaston Ridge UMC or the Upshur Parish House.
