Rickey E. Holley
Rickey E. Holley, age 51, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born September 1, 1958 in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of George C. Holley, Sr. and Helen L. Brown Holley of Gallipolis, OH. On July 10, 1981 he married Kay Swisher who survives. Also surviving is one son, Beau B. Holley of Buckhannon; one daughter, Nikki A. Knotts and husband Adam of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Adisyn F. Knotts of Buckhannon; one brother, George C. Holley, Jr. and wife Pattie of Crown City, OH and two nephews, Aaron and Matthew Holley both of Grove City, OH. He was a retired 1st Sargent with 24 years of service in the WV State Police. Rickey attended the South Buckhannon Mission Church. He was a member of the Franklin Lodge #7 AF & AM of Buckhannon, was a 32 Degree Mason and a member of the WV Troopers Assoc. He enjoyed donating his time to youth activities including coaching the Buckhannon American Legion Baseball Team and loved Classic Cars and Motorcycles. Friends will be received Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 5-9 PM at the William E. Phillips Memorial Field at BUHS. He will Lie in State at the Way Of Holiness Church Monday from 12 Noon until 1 PM the funeral hour with Pastor Ed Lowther and the Rev. George Holley, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Rosenbaum Family House, PO Box 8228 Morgantown, WV 26506-8228.
