Hinkle, age 92, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born August 27, 1916 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Francis and Adie Dumire Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. On June 9, 1935 she married Francis Clive Hinkle who preceded her in death on May 15, 2005. She is survived by one son, Delmar Hinkle of West Palm Beach, FL; one grandson, Douglas Clive Hinkle and wife Anono of Australia; one great grandson, Chris Hinkle of Florida and two great granddaughters, Stephanie Hinkle of Florida and Shyann Hinkle of Australia. Mrs. Hinkle was a homemaker and a member of the Rocky Ford United Methodist Church. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Monday, April 13, 2009 from 1-2 PM the funeral hour with the Rev. Richard Ogden officiating.
