HeaterAletha Aletha Mae (Judy) Edwards Heater Judy Heater passed way peacefully at 6:25 AM Monday, February 4, 2008 at her residence of 47 South Florida Street, Buckhannon, West Virginia after a six month illness with lung cancer. She was attended by her daughter and one of the wonderful home health care providers as she crossed over into the arms of our Lord. She was receiving services through the St. Joseph’s Hospice Program while remaining at her residence after treatment ended in mid November of 2007 at the Mary Babbs Randolph Cancer Center in Morgantown , West Virginia. Mrs. Heater was born in Orion Township., Richland Co.,Wisconsin on September 24, 1925 and was raised by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Loomis of Lansing, Iowa. She attended a Roman Catholic school until transferring to and graduating from Lansing High School and Iowa State Business College. She met and married George W. Heater of Weston, West Virginia while he was stationed at Camp McCoy. They married on July 27th, 1944 in La Crosse, Wisconsin and returned to West Virginia until he deployed over seas during WWII. Mrs. Heater and Col. Heater moved to Point Pleasant, West Virginia in 1947 where he worked for the West Virginia National Guard USPFO. They moved to Buckhannon, West Virginia in 1961 due to the transfer of that National Guard Office. Ret.)Heater passed away on May 23, 1992. Mrs. Heater is survived by one daughter, Sarah Jane Heater Huffman and her son-in- law Col. (Ret.) Jacob C. Huffman, Jr. They also reside in Buckhannon after their retirements. She has three grand daughters and their spouses: Sarah Cristin Dukehart and her husband Paul of Pennsylvania; Julie Anne Pargoe and her husband Brandon of Virginia: and Laonna Dawn Rauser and her husband David of Virginia. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren: Taylor Dukehart, Ellis Dukehart and Isadora Dukehart of Abbottstown Pennsylvania: Kane Pargoe and Trent Pargoe of Falls Church, Virginia; and Lance and Cora Rauser of Bristol, Virginia. Her sister and brother-in-law are Betty and George Linn Bland of Weston, West Virginia. She has one niece-in-law Mrs. Linda Heater from Missouri and 2 grand-nephews; Brian and Jonathan Heater, also of Missouri. She has 3 nieces and their spouses: Linn Marie Buell and husband Lee of Florida; Ann Luzader and her husband Danny of Belmont, West Virginia: and Janice Bland and her husband David Pineta of Buckhannon, West Virginia. She has one surviving nephew, Dr James Bland and fiancé Christy of Florida. Her great-grand nieces are Whitney and Laureen Bland and Mary Luzader Kelly and her husband Jonathan. Her great-grand- nephews are Jonathan and Matthew Buell; and Nathan and Amy Luzader. Her great-great grand nephew is Gunner Luzader. She has two step grandsons: Jacob Camden (Cam) and William Craig Huffman both of West Virginia. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her mother-in-law Mrs. Clyde Heater of Weston, her nephews Jack and Michael Heater of Missouri, her brother and sister-in-law James and Eleanor Heater of Missouri. She is also predeceased by one Grandson, William Alexander Holdt. Mrs. Heater enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, reading, gardening, working crossword puzzles, visiting with family and Friends, and her worship with church. She was particularly fond of visiting the seashore. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Kanawha St. in Buckhannon on Thursday February 7th 2008 from 6-9 PM. Funeral will be at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Weston on East 2nd St. at 11:00 AM Friday February 8th, 2008. Following the communion service, internment will be at the Weston Masonic Cemetery on Rt. 33. Following that service, all friends and family are sincerely invited to the Home of Mrs. Judy Heater at 47 South Florida St. in Buckhannon for a reception. Those wishing to make a monetary contribution in her memory may do so to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Weston at 206 East 2nd St. Weston WV; or the Rosenbaum Family House at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
