Obituary of Robert Haymond

HaymondRobert Robert J. Haymond Robert J. Haymond, age 75, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, December 28, 2007 at his home under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born January 31, 1932 at Kanawha Head, WV, a son of the late Arden and Mazie Ruth McCray Haymond. On October 30, 1964 he married Rella Ware who survives. Also surviving are one son, Terry Haymond of Columbus, OH; two brothers, James Richard Haymond and wife Thelma of Baden, PA and Raymond Haymond and wife Faye of Orange Park, FL; two sisters, Roberta Baxa of Rochester, PA and Jenny Carr and husband Wayne of Westerville, OH. Mr. Haymond served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict from September, 1952 until June, 1954 and was a steel worker for J & L Steel. Friends will be received Tuesday, January 1, 2008 from 6-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Hodom Cemetery at Hacker Valley, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
