Bumgardner (of Independence Twp.) Frances V. Bumgardner, 81 of Independence Twp., PA passed away Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the Beaver Medical Center. Born Sept. 11, 1925 in Barbour County, WV, she is a daughter of the late Murrell and Lorene Nutter. Grandma enjoyed playing bingo, making banana bread and camping. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Bumgardner. She is survived by a son, Donald “Lynn” Bumgardner and wife Mary Jane of Independence Twp.; a daughter, Nancy Riley of Coraopolis, PA; 6 grandsons, Bob, Rick, Brad and Chad Riley and Mike and Shawn Bumgardner. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Darroch Memorial Chapel, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa (www.darrochfuneralhome.com). and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Poling-St.Clair Funeral Home, Buckhanon, WV, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10am with the Rev. Dave Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Philippi, WV.
