Howard Rex Phillips Howard Rex Phillips Howard Rex Phillips, age 53, of French Creek, WV died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at his home while under the care of People’s Hospice. He was born May 17, 1961 in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late Howard Max and Levera Marie Lee Phillips. On May 17, 1995 he married Ronda Straley who survives. Also surviving are one brother, Gary Phillips and wife Rosie of French Creek and two sisters, Loretta Davidson and husband Robert of French Creek and Barbara Coombs of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Steven Phillips and one sister, Shirley Phillips. Mr. Phillips was a Class A Trim Painter. Friends will be received Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 11AM to 1 PM, the funeral hour, at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with Pastor John Hinkle officiating.
