Obituary of Charles Thomas Gay

Charles "Tom" Gay Charles Thomas “Tom” Gay Charles Thomas “Tom” Gay, age 65, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born January 17, 1948 in Lewis County, WV, a son of the late Fred Gay, Sr. and Helen McCorkhill Gay. On August 10, 1974 he married Donna Ingram who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jon Gay and wife Cindy of French Creek, WV and Jeffrey Gay and companion Sheena of Buckhannon; two daughters, Kristina Aegan and husband Charles of Buchannon and Jennifer Crites and husband Justin of Philippi, WV; six grandsons, Levi Gay of French Creek, Patrick Gay of Buckhannon, Trace and Tate Crites both of Philippi and Brayden and Rhyus Gay both of Buckhannon; seven granddaughters, Kendra Page and husband Daniel of Morgantown, WV, Riley and Brooklyn Gay and Hailey and Kiley Aegan all of Buckhannon, Kari Gay of French Creek and Gracelyn Crites of Philippi; a daughter in law, Amy Mick of Buckhannon; three brothers, Fred Gay of Buckhannon, Terry “Pete” Gay and wife Linda of Richmond, VA and Danny Gay and wife Cathy of MD; one sister, Judy Holcomb and husband William of Front Royal, VA; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Belinda Zickefoose of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Brian Gay and one brother, Ronald Gay. “Tom” worked for Corhart Refactories in the Shipping Dept. He was a member of the Horizons Church of Buckhannon. He also loved to sell and trade cars and was a loving grandfather. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1974. Friends will be received Friday, September 13, 2013 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday at the Horizons Church with Pastor Dave Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV.
