Ruby Gay Goodwin
Ruby Gay Goodwin, age 77, of Amherst, OH died Monday, September 10, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Lorain, OH. She was born April 4, 1935 in Buckhannon, WV a daughter of the late John and Freda Beckner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Byrd, and two brothers, Dale and Herbert Beckner. She is survived by her husband Bobby R. Goodwin of Amherst; one son, Johnie Goodwin and wife Greta of Amherst; one grandson Bobby Byrd of KY; two sisters, Mavis Eskew of Buckhannon and Evelyn Ryan of Painesville, OH; and one brother Marlin Beckner of Buckhannon. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Friday, September 14, 2012 from 12 noon to 2 PM the funeral hour, with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
