Wilma Grandinette
Wilma Grandinette, age 82 of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, October 16, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born October 3, 1929 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Rev. Carl Ford and Agnes Tenney Snyder. On March 7, 1948 she married Sylvester “Vess” Grandinette who preceded her in death on March 27, 1998. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one grandson, Brian Kerrigan and one granddaughter Mary Jean Delader. She is survived by four daughters, Kay Nowak and husband Harry of Ravenna, OH, Linda Sue Grandinette of Clay, WV, Betty Myrdahl of Spring Hill, FL and Myra Chaney and husband Claude of Buckhannon; three sons, Terry Grandinette of Alexander, WV, Tom Grandinette of Alton, WV and Ted Grandinette and wife Sharon of Buckhannon; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters Wilda Lunceford and husband Ed of FL, Bessie Utz and husband Chuck of WV and Barbara Gould of GA; two brothers Arkie Snyder and Wife Ramona of VA and Steve Snyder and wife Diana of WI. She was a nurse’s aide at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Leonard Memorial Hospital among others and a member of the Pleasant Dale United Methodist Church at Hinkleville, WV. She was a Past President of the Ladies Aux. of the VFW and active in 4-H. Friends will be received Tuesday, October 18, 2011 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help with funeral expenses. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
