Anna Maelene Grubb
Anna Maelene Grubb, age 68, of Adrian, WV, died Monday, September 26, 2011 at the St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born November 4, 1942 in Adrian, a daughter of the late Ralph Thomas and Nellie Gay Smith Reed. On July 1, 1961 she married Dane Icarius Grubb who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Donna R. Wamsley and Marcella K. Gamble both of Rock Cave and Lori L. Manley and husband Robert W. of Buckhannon; two sons, Dwayne Edward Grubb of Buckhannon and James Joseph Grubb of St. Albans, WV; one granddaughter, Lisa Ann Manley of Morgantown, WV; five grandsons, Mitchell Wayne Hyre and wife Carissa of Adrian, Gary Dane Gamble of Newell, WV, Caleb Thomas Manley of Buckhannon, Brandon Nathaniel Grubb and Jon Cameron Levi Grubb both of St. Albans; one brother, Daris Reed of Dill City, OK; three sisters, Erma Lewis and husband Don of Buckhannon, Susan Simons and husband Arthur of Buckhannon and Beatrice Courtney and husband Charles of Selbyville, WV; one great grandson, Frankie Hyre of Adrian; one great granddaughter, RaeAnna Maelene Hyre of Adrian and one brother in law, Norman Welch of Morgantown, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Anna Rae Wamsley; one brother, Joseph Reed and one sister, Betty Welch. Mrs. Grubb was a caregiver and a member of the Way Of Holiness Church. Friends will be received Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 5-8 PM at the Way Of Holiness Church. Funeral service will be held 2 PM Thursday at the church with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery at Hinkleville, WV.
