Obituary of Goldie Darien Posey

Goldie Posey Goldie Darien Posey Goldie Darien Posey, age 83, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at her home. She was born September 16, 1930 in WV, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Gertrude Hinzman Bennett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Posey, on January 26, 1991. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Danny Posey; one brother, David “Bud” Bennett and one sister, Wilma Saunders. Surviving are one son, David Posey of Buckhannon; three daughters, Becky Koon and husband Jim of Buckhannon, Vickie Posey of Marion, VA and Trudy Hughes of Belington, WV; one grandson, David Posey of WV; eight granddaughters, Beth Posey of Elkins, WV, Libby Venditti and husband Chris of SC, Trudy Wyatt and husband Joe of French Creek, WV, Crystal Linger and husband Ed of Buckhannon, Amanda and Brandi Posey both of Buckhannon, Amber Posey of Rock Cave and Angie Starkey and husband Nick of French Creek; several great grandchildren, one great great grandson, Bentley Daniel Ross of Buckhannon; one great great granddaughter, Rae-leigh Posey of Buckhannon and her beloved dog Daisy Marie. Mrs. Posey was a grocery clerk. Friends will be received Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 11 AM to 2 PM, the funeral hour at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home.
