Obituary of Bessie rene Gibson

untitled1 Bessie Irene Gibson Bessie Irene Gibson, age 94, of Buckhannon, WV went to be with her loving Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, November 23, 2009 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born August 18, 1915 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Seymour and Eliza Jane Pickens Humphrey Linger. On September 23, 1933 she married Coy Gibson who preceded her in death on May 10, 1984. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Donald Gibson; three brothers, Charles, Chester and Ophie Linger; a half brother, Bill Humphrey; four sisters, Mary Mitchelle, Ona Ford, Geneva Nicholson and Rethia Linger and a half sister, Madge Lantz. She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Girard and husband Frank of Buckhannon; three grandsons, Don and Ron Gibson both of Thomasville, NC and Trent Girard of Buckhannon; three great-granddaughters, Danielle, Kaitlyn and Kailey Gibson and one great-great-granddaughter, Kaylee Bunnell. Mrs. Gibson was a homemaker. She was a member of the Buckhannon Living Word Church of God. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Friends will be received Friday, November 27, 2009 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Frank Spears officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
