GowerConnieM Connie M. Gower Connie Phillips Gower, age 67, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born March 25, 1940 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Rondel Carl and Emma Carpenter Beam. She is survived by her husband, Sonny Gower of Buckhannon; four sons, Robert Lee Phillips and wife Trisha of Buckhannon, Steve Phillips and wife Bettie of Hiddenite, NC, Brian Phillips of Taylorsville, NC and Jeremy Phillips of Taylorsville; one daughter, Pamela McDaniel and husband Billy of Taylorsville; two step sons, Sonny Gower, Jr. of Weston, WV and Stevie Gower of Weston; one brother, Tommy Beam of Ellamore, WV; six sisters, Phyllis Wamsley of Buckhannon, Mildred Booth, Brenda Hamilton, Carolyn Williams and Debra Sims all of Ellamore and Barbara Cerullo of Buckhannon and ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gower was a homemaker and attended the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Buckhannon. Friends will be received Thursday, June 21, 2007 from 6-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A Prayer service will be held 8:30 PM Thursday, at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Friday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
