Martin M. Burr Martin M. Burr Martin M. Burr, age 69, of Adrian, WV died Sunday, October 8, 2006 at Culpeper Regional Hospital in Culpeper, VA. He was born November 21, 1936 in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Charles D. and Mary E. Haymond Burr. On March 12, 1958 he married Mary B. Flynn Burr who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Richard Burr and wife Laura of Summerville, SC and James M. Burr and wife Sunnie of Warrenton, VA; one daughter, Kathy (Burr) Cox and husband James of Culpeper; two brothers, Allen Burr of Buckhannon and James Burr of Adrian; three sisters, Mary Tarley of Romney, WV, Martha Landis and Joann Samples both of French Creek, WV; three grandsons, Danny, Brady and Casey Burr and four granddaughters, Pamela and Sarah Burr and Kendall and Delanie Cox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles J. Burr. Mr. Burr was a Senior Technical Writer for Department Of The Army. He retired from the US Air force after twenty-one years of service. Friends will be received Wednesday, October 11, 2006 form 4-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM at the funeral with the Rev. Gary Stackpole officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Fork Church Cemetery at French Creek. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion, DAV Chapters # 5 & 36 will conduct Military Honors at the graveside. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
