Julius "Gus" Feola Visitation Tuesday, September 23, 2014 3-8 PM Poling-St.Clair Funeral Home Funeral Service Wednesday, September 24, 2014 11 AM Poling-St. Clair Funeral Burial Heavner Cemetery Julius S. “Gus” Feola Julius S. “Gus” Feola, age 87, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Serenity Care Home in Buckhannon. He was born March 24, 1927 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Samuel and Louisa DeAngelis Feola. On June 26, 1948 he married Dorothy “Dot” Louise Loudin who preceded him in death on June 3, 1995. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Dominick, Samuel Jr. and Frank Feola, and three sisters, Edith Amalifitano, Mary Andregg and Katherine Hinkle. Surviving are two sons, Michael Feola and wife Linda and Howard Feola and companion Janice all of Buckhannon; two daughters, Michelle Sands and husband Howard of Williamstown, WV and Suzette Huffman and husband Kevin of Tallmansville, WV; two grandsons, Michael Wagner and wife Heather of Marietta, OH and Jeff Wagner of Athens, OH; three granddaughters, Heather Stout and husband Darren of Grayson, GA, Alicia Egress and husband John of Buckhannon and Mary Feola of Naples, FL; two great grandsons, Camdyn Egress of Buckhannon and Trey Stout of Grayson; two great granddaughters, Jillian Price of U.S. Army Fort Huachuca, AZ and Katie Stout of Grayson and several nieces and nephews. Gus was a lifelong resident of Buckhannon and owned Feola’s Flowers until his retirement in 1989. He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. He also loved his extended family at Serenity Care Home. Gus served in the U. S. Navy during WWII where he earned the Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon and the Victory Ribbon. He was a life time member of the Buckhannon Moose Lodge #598 and the V.F.W. #3663. Gus was a past member of the Buckhannon Country Club where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed all his buddies at Hardee’s. Friends will be received Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 3-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Ellis Conley officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the graveside. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
