Obituary of William Charles Andrescavage

William Charles Andrescavage On Tuesday April 5th, William C. Andrescavage 67, of Rock Cave WV was called home to be with the Lord. Bill was the director of Pointman International Ministries of Rock Cave. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Barbara Andrescavage. He is survived by three daughters, Melissa Howard of PA, Heather Hutson of WV, and Katie Andrescavage-Healy of NC. He was a devoted husband, father, and pop-pop. He dedicated his life to helping veterans and serving the Lord. "Wild Bill" served two tours in Vietnam and was in the Americal Division. He was an FO, Tunnel Rat and a recipient of many distinguished awards due to his service in the U.S. Army. He was a proud member of the DAV, VVA, VFW, American Legion, PIM, ADVA, and NRA. Not only did Bill serve his country, but he faithfully served his community. He will always be remembered for his generosity toward those in need. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but we rejoice in the fact that he is reunited with the love of his life, Barbara Jean. He will be laid to rest alongside his wife in the Sarasota National Veterans Cemetery. Friends will be received Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 4-6 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 6 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
