untitled1 Margaret Jane Eakin Margaret Jane Eakin, 90, of Fairport, NY, formerly of Buckhannon, WV, passed on to eternal life December 15, 2009 due to natural causes. She was the daughter of J. Winfred and M. Blyss Carpenter (both deceased) and was born June 5, 1919 in Flatwoods, WV. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ward Eakin, their daughter, Susan Virginia, and Margaret’s brother, Paul J. Carpenter (USMC-WWII). She was a loving, family oriented wife and mother, and dedicated herself to raising her three sons. Margaret is survived by her sons: Paul and wife (Barbara) of Webster, NY; Thomas and wife (Meghan) of Pittsford, NY; and James and wife (Linda) of Fairport, NY along with grandchildren Andrew, Lauren, and Alex. She also is survived by her sisters, Wilma Bizaro of Cumberland, MD and Lucille Paugh of Goldsboro, NC along with several nieces and nephews. Margaret’s love for her family will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, December 19 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon, WV with Rev. Billie Scott Mick officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery, Buckhannon, WV. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (www.stjude.com).
