Obituary of Edward M. Davidson

Edward Miles Davidson, of 106 Buckhannon Manor, passed away on January 24, 2016 at his home surrounded by his wife Judith E. McLaughlin Davidson whom he married on February 16, 1972 and a friend and neighbor Lucille Cutright was also there. He was born on November 8, 1947 in Kanawha Head, WV, a son of the late Virgil and Brennice Helmick Davidson. In addition to his wife he is survived by four sisters, Betty Pitcock and Helen Samples both of Buckhannon, Louise Hull of Rock Cave, WV and Opal Cunningham of Bridgeport, WV; two brothers, James (Jim) Davidson and wife Patricia of Salem, WV and Gerald Ross (Jerry) Davidson of Thornton, CO and several nieces and nephews. Edward had lots of friends at the Buckhannon Manor, the friends are too many to name, and they know who they are. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Leona Gray Pugh. The family would like to thank the Barbour County EMS for transporting Mr. Davidson to and from his Dr. appointments, the care givers from Senior Center, also “thank you” to Charles Butcher for being there when he was needed. Friends will be received Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Run Baptist Church Cemetery at Excelsior, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
