Obituary of Retha Mae Armstrong

Retha Mae Armstrong Retha Mae Armstrong Retha Mae Armstrong, age 76, of French Creek, WV died Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon, WV. She was born April 12, 1938 in Upshur County, a daughter of the late Ira and Flora Ratcliff Hoover. On February 27, 1971 she married Gaylord Armstrong who preceded her in death on July 6, 2005. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by five brothers, Clyde, Robert, Lyndell, John and Attley Hoover and one sister, Violet Elbon. She is survived by one brother, Raymond Hoover of Buckhannon. Mrs. Armstrong was a homemaker. She was a member of the Hampton United Methodist Church and the Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663 Ladies Aux. Friends will be received Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
