Obituary of William Allen Poling, Sr.

William Allen Poling, Sr., age 70, of Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, June 11, 2018, at his home. He was born January 4, 1948, in Frostburg, MD, a son of the late Jacob and Verla Stidd Poling. On May 26, 1969, he married Norma Sharp who survives. Also surviving are two sons, William Allen Poling, Jr., and wife Kelly of Buckhannon and Timothy Poling of Mt. Airy, NC; three daughters, Cathy Beckner and husband William of Mt. Airy, Cheryl Poling of Buckhannon and Sarah Summers and husband Halston of Mt. Airy; eleven grandchildren and two sisters, Louwana Perry of Burnsville, WV and Sharon Arnett and husband John of Mt. Airy. A memorial gathering will be held 11 AM until 12 Noon on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home.
