Obituary of Cozbi A. Chandler
Cozbi A. Chandler, age 84, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, February 10, 1999 at the home of her daughter Kathy St. Clair. She was born March 16, 1914 in Selbyville, WV, a daughter of the late William Brown Sayre and Lucretia Judith Curry Sayre. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph S. Chandler; one son, Herbert Samuel Chandler; one daughter, Juanita Kay Chandler; one grandson, Thomas Ralph Cutright and one great-grandson, Joshua James Hall. She is survived by three daughters, Helen Alexander of St. Simons Island, GA, Judy Hall of Hodgesville, WV and Kathy St. Clair of Buckhannon; three sons, Pastor Don Chandler of Martinsburg, WV, R. Richard Chandler of Buckhannon and Danny Chandler of Crofton, MD; two sisters, Mabel Martin of Abbott, WV and Juanita Linger of Frederick, MD; one brother, Bill Sayre of Miami, FL and sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Chandler was a homemaker and a member of the French Creek Chapter # 36 DAV Ladies Aux. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Friday, February 12, 1999. Funeral service will be held 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
