untitled3 Visitation Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 12 Noon - 2 PM Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Funeral Service Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 2 PM Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Burial Point Pleasant Cemetery Lucy Ada Martin Brady Lucy Ada Martin Brady, age 98, of Monongah, WV and formerly resided at 859 King Ridge Drive, Ashland, OH also 8 Myrna St., Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, July 15, 2013 at St. Barbara’s Memorial Nursing Home in Monongah. She was born September 22, 1914 in Abbott, WV, a daughter of the late Bryant J. and Luella Russell Martin. On June 23, 1935 she married Carl Edward Brady who preceded her in death on June 25, 2001. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Garry Brady; five brothers, Holt, Orza, Russell, Bernard and Kermit Martin and five sisters, Leota Martin, Mae Blankenship Howes, Ruth Strader, Hilda Lane and Rita Childress. She is survived by one daughter, Helen Long of Ashland, OH; one son, Carl Gail Brady of Colorado Springs, CO; five grandchildren, Cynthia Griffith, Stephen Brady, Michael Brady, Victoria Miller and Cynthia Anderson and seven great-grandchildren, Ezra Amend, Eliza Jenkins, Gabriel Griffith, Kathryn Miller, Raechel Brady and Jack and Erin Brady. Mrs. Brady was a homemaker. She was an antique collector, volunteer at the Dessie Graves Senior Center, a member of the Aletha Chapter Eastern Star, Abbott Women’s Club and secretary of the Point Pleasant Methodist Church. Friends will be received Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 12 Noon until 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Helen R. Oates officiating. Burial will follow in the Point Pleasant Cemetery at Abbott. Memorials contributions may be made to the Point Pleasant Cemetery Fund, 2914 Abbott Road, Buckhannon, WV 26201.
