Harry Bailey Harry F. Bailey Harry F. Bailey, 88, of Niles passed away Monday morning January 28, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Health Center in Warren. Born April 27, 1924 Tallmansville, WV, Harry was the son of the late Jacob and Hazel (Foy) Bailey. Following his graduation from high school, Harry went on to serve our country in the United States Army during World War II serving in the European Theater of Combat Operations. Following his honorable discharge, Harry went on to marry the former Etta “Katie” Poling on June 16, 1946 and with her shared over sixty-four years of marriage before her passing. Harry retired as an inspector from GM Lordstown in 1986 with over twenty years of service. In his free time he enjoyed watching Cleveland Indians Baseball and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by his loving daughter Deborah K. Flenner of Niles, four grandchildren; Michael and Derek Krummel, Michele Agosta and Kyle Bailey, four-great grandchildren; Kayla, Liam, Hunter and Sophia, and his three brothers Tom, Bob and Earl Bailey. He was preceded in death by his wife Katie on December 13, 2010, his son Philip H. Bailey, a daughter Karen Ann Bailey, and by two sisters and five brothers. Friends will be receved on Friday February 1, 2013 from 1-2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral services will be held on 2 PM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Cain officiating. Burial will take place in the Bailey Cemetery in Buckhannon, WV where military honors will be observed.Contributions in Harry’s memory can be made to either the American Lung Association or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
