Debra (Debby) Diane Schoolcraft

Debra (Debby) Diane Schoolcraft, age 64, of Kanawha Head, WV, died Sunday, July 16, 2023, at her home. She was born September 23, 1958, in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of the late Robert J. Pudder and Flossie Grace Pudder (Barbe). On April 11, 1979, she married Jeff Wade Schoolcraft who survives. Also surviving are one son, Todd Schoolcraft of Kanawha Head; one sister, Evelyn K. Hastings (Pudder) of Greenville, SC; nieces and nephews, Chasity, Dawnetta, Crystal, Eric and Aubrey and several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Lee Pudder. Debby was a Teacher in French Creek and owner at the Holly River State Park Restaurant. She was an Honorary member of the Holly River State Park Foundation and recognized for her amazing cooking abilities. Her restaurant got recognized twice on 101 Unique Places to dine in WV.  Friends will be received Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Mrs. Schoolcraft will Lie in State from 10Am to 11 AM, the funeral hour, Friday, July 21, 2023, at Jerry Run United Methodist Church with Pastor Josie Tenney officiating. A burial will follow in the Barbe Cemetery in Hacker Valley, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
