Obituary of Mavis Imogene Eskew

Mavis Imogene Eskew, age 77, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at her home. She was born April 30, 1940 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late John and Freda Robinson Beckner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Goodwin and five brothers, Marlin, Herbert, Dale, Arnald and Richard Lee Beckner. She is survived by two sons, Lyle Eskew and wife Faye and Johnny Plivelich both of Buckhannon; one grandson, Cosmo Plivelich of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Athena Plivelich and Cortney Eskew both of Buckhannon; one sister, Evelyn “Jean” Ryan and husband Lawrence of Painsville, PA; loved one, Jenn Champ and special dog, Lil’ Mac. Mrs. Eskew was a member of the Buckhannon Moose Lodge # 598. She loved her sons, grandchildren and entire family with all heart and gave her whole life to them. Friends will be received Friday, August 18, 2017 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM on Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
